Shin Splints Compression Sleeves & Stress Fracture Support
Shin splints are a common injury for athletes who increase their level of running or activity too quickly. Overuse places extra stress on the muscles and tendons. In severe cases, shin splints may turn into a stress fracture in your shin. It is best to begin treatment as soon as you feel the symptoms of shin splints to prevent a stress fracture which may result in a walking boot and no activity for weeks until the bone heals. Athletes who have shin splints should rest, ice, wear a compression shin splint sleeve, and elevate whenever possible. A compression sleeve will help give your shin and leg added support and stability. Make sure that when you are beginning a new activity, you increase the intensity and mileage gradually. Make sure you have the right shoes and incorporate cross-training to mix up your activities and train different muscle groups.
